What is a caplet?
A caplet (also spelled capelet) is a short cape-like shoulder piece worn draped over formalwear. It covers the shoulders and upper body, adding elegance without the bulk of a full jacket or stole. All Meyoush caplets are finely beaded and made in Canada — each one finished by hand, one bead at a time.
What is the difference between a caplet, capelet, and bolero?
Caplet and capelet are simply two spellings of the same garment — a short cape worn over the shoulders. A bolero is a structured, fitted short jacket with sleeves. Meyoush caplets are open-front, draped shoulder pieces with no sleeves or closures, designed for effortless layering over gowns, jumpsuits, and formal dresses.
How do I care for a beaded caplet?
Dry clean only. Do not machine wash, hand wash, or steam directly onto the beadwork — heat and moisture can loosen hand-sewn embellishments. Store flat or folded gently in the provided dust bag. Never hang a beaded caplet; the weight of the beads may distort the drape over time. With proper care, your Meyoush caplet will remain heirloom-quality for years.
What size will fit me?
Our caplets are one size fits most, cut to drape elegantly across a wide range of body types. The open-front silhouette is highly forgiving. How do you ship within Canada?
We ship Canada-wide via Canada Post Expedited Parcel and Xpresspost. Every order includes tracking. Most Canadian orders arrive within 3–7 business days, depending on your province. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your piece ships, and we comply with all applicable Alberta and Canadian consumer protection legislation regarding delivery timelines.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns, exchanges, or refunds within 7 days of confirmed delivery for pieces that are unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags attached and original packaging.
